Improving students’ reading comprehension in narrative text through schema activation strategy at third grade at SMPN 1 Bukit Kemuning Lampung Utara

The objectives of this research are to investigate whether there is a significant difference in the students’ reading comprehension achievement before and after implementation schemata activation strategy which aspect that improves most being taught schema strategy. This was conducted at third-grade students SMPN 1 Bukit Kemuning academic year 2020/2021. researcher took class IX. instrument used get data test. Reading tests forms pre-test post-test were done collect data. Then, t-test test hypothesis. result hypothesis proves gives positive effect on achievement. In addition, determining reference skills improved by Schema Activation Strategy. evidence proved teaching using Strategy facilities more reference. conclusion, study suggests can be improve comprehension.
